Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Word Search Generator at wordsearch.aaalm.io (the "Service"), operated by AAALM ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Word Search Generator is a web application that allows users to create, play, share, and export word search puzzles. The Service includes AI-powered word and clue generation, interactive puzzle solving, PDF export, and puzzle sharing via public links.

Accounts

To use the Service, you must sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

You may only create and use one account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Credits and Payments

The Service uses a credit system. Each puzzle you generate costs 1 credit. You receive 1 free credit per calendar month. Additional credits can be purchased in packs through our pricing page.

Purchases

All credit purchases are processed by Stripe. Prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD) and are inclusive of any applicable processing fees. By completing a purchase, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the stated amount.

Refunds

Credit purchases are generally non-refundable, as credits are delivered digitally and available for immediate use. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using purchased credits (e.g., a failed puzzle generation that still deducted a credit), please contact us at support@aaalm.io and we will evaluate your request on a case-by-case basis.

Credit Expiration

Purchased credits do not expire. Free monthly credits do not accumulate — you receive 1 free credit per month regardless of prior balance.

AI-Generated Content

The Service uses OpenAI's API to generate words and clues for puzzles. While we implement content filtering (including a blocked word list), we cannot guarantee that all AI-generated content will be appropriate for all audiences or contexts. You are responsible for reviewing generated content before sharing puzzles, particularly in educational settings.

AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or contextually inappropriate. We provide it on an "as is" basis and make no warranties regarding its accuracy or suitability.

Puzzle Sharing

Each puzzle is assigned a unique share link. When you share this link, anyone with it can view and play that puzzle without signing in. Your account information (name, email) is not exposed to viewers of shared puzzles.

You are responsible for the content of puzzles you create and share. Do not create puzzles containing content that is hateful, harassing, illegal, or otherwise objectionable.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to circumvent credit requirements or exploit the Service to obtain free credits beyond the monthly allotment
• Create puzzles with hateful, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service without prior written permission
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its output without permission

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and original content, is owned by AAALM and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Puzzles you create are yours. You retain ownership of the custom words, themes, and content you provide. You grant us a limited license to store, display, and serve your puzzle content as necessary to operate the Service (including through share links you generate).

Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR APPROPRIATE.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AAALM AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM AI-GENERATED CONTENT.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AAALM and its owners from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or content you create or share through the Service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Unused purchased credits are non-refundable upon termination for cause (i.e., violation of these Terms).

You may stop using the Service at any time. To request account deletion, contact us at support@aaalm.io.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the appropriate courts.
